Best accounting software in Malaysia (2026)

Lejar publishes this page, and Lejar is one of the options on it. We state other vendors’ facts only as their own public pages state them, with the date we checked. Where we did not check a fact, the page says so.

There is no single best accounting software for every Malaysian business. If you want a free plan with MyInvois e-invoicing, Lejar and Bukku both have one. If you need deep inventory, point of sale or manufacturing, AutoCount and SQL Account are the established choices. If you want a global product with a large app marketplace and can pay in US dollars, there is Xero. Lejar is the option for an owner who wants AI to draft the bookkeeping and several companies on one plan.

Prices checked on 30 October 2026 on each vendor’s pricing page. Feature details checked between 27 June and 29 July 2026; each product shows its own date below.

How should an SME owner choose?

  1. Start with e-invoicing. Check whether MyInvois is included on the plan you will buy, and whether the plan limits how many e-invoices you can submit each month. Our MyInvois guide explains the rules.
  2. Count your companies. Most products charge a separate subscription for each company. If you run two or more, compare the total price for all of them.
  3. Check SST. If you are SST-registered, check that the plan prepares the SST-02 return and is not an add-on.
  4. Decide what you need beyond the books. Payroll, point of sale and manufacturing are strong in AutoCount and SQL Account. Lejar and Bukku focus on bookkeeping, invoicing and e-invoicing.
  5. Look at who does the data entry. Some products read receipts for you, with a monthly cap. Lejar’s AI Inbox drafts each entry from a receipt or bill for you to approve.
  6. Try it on your own figures. Use a free plan or a free trial with one month of real receipts and invoices before you commit.
